Free online information sessions have been arranged to help staff understand and plan for their retirement.

 

Pre-retirement seminar

The pre-retirement seminar is an online half-day event designed for colleagues who are thinking of retiring in the next few years.

The seminar is structured around 3 main topics:

The transition into retirement – (Interactive group session)
The NHS pension scheme – (Plus state pension and previous pensions)
Financial planning – (inc creating your own budget plan)

 

NHS Pension update seminar for consultants and doctors

The NHS pension seminar for consultants and doctors is an early evening event designed for doctors, consultants, GPs, directors, and executives.

The event is structured around 3 main topics:

NHS Pension Scheme
Tax Planning
Financial Planning

 

Planning for retirement

Retirement might be up to 10 years away but it’s never too soon to start planning. This course is perfect for anyone thinking about retirement or already at the planning stages.

NHS Partial Retirement and Other Pension Flexibilities for 1995 Pension Scheme Members

From 1st October 2023 a new pension income flexibility has been made available to staff members who have built up pension in the 1995 NHS Pension Scheme.

If you are thinking about your retirement income options and want to understand more about all the flexible ways you could take your pension, especially the option for partial retirement then this course is ideal for you.

Your Pension and the Public Sector Pension Remedy

Did you join the NHS pension scheme on or before 31st March 2012 and were still a member of the scheme on or after 1st April 2015? If your answer is yes it’s likely that you'll be part of the McCloud judgement remedy which resulted from the breach of age discrimination rules.
