Annual Leave entitlements are uploaded from ESR to HealthRoster on a weekly basis.
Annual Leave is calculated by the day and based on your ESR record:-
- It will recognise length of Service (0-5 yrs, 5-10 yrs, 10+ yrs) - additional hours due for meeting your anniversary date in year will be added to your base entitlement at the start of that leave year, 1st April. The trust does not use the continuous service element within HealthRoster
- It will recalculate if you increase/decrease hours no matter how many times, and your daily leave entitlement will adjust effective from the date of change on ESR which will change your overall entitlement.
If you want to check that your entitlement is correct, please use the Annual Leave Tables located in the Annual Leave and General Public Holiday Entitlements document to confirm the base hours entitlement for your contracted hours. If you have changed hours, joined the trust in year, met a 5 or 10 yrs anniversary you can use the calculator on the Healthroster intranet page to check that the hours have been adjusted. Links to both at the end of this text
You will also need to take into account any adjustments to your entitlement for carry over, or buying/selling leave.
If you need to query your entitlement after you have checked it using the Leave Tables and the calculator please raise a ticket detailing your calculation and why you believe it to be incorrect
The
main reasons for incorrect entitlements :-
·
Incomplete service entries - in this instance
your query will be directed to the Resourcing Team who will request proof of
service length and update ESR
·
Retire and Return not picking up length of
service – in this instance please raise a ticket and the ESR tem will update
the entitlement
·
Change forms for hours changes not being
submitted – in this instance once the change form has been actioned in ESR the
entitlement will recalculate and update
