Time of in Lieu

Time off in lieu (TOIL) may be accrued when an employee works beyond their contracted hours to support service delivery required.

 It is expected that staff and managers will be flexible and there may be occasions when, due to service need there is a requirement to remain at work for a short period.

There may also be occasions when an employee needs to leave work early e.g. dental appointment. In these instances, informally arrangements are appropriate
