What do I need to open a UK bank account?

Once you have decided who you would like to bank with, you will need to apply to open an account with them either in person by visiting the branch, by calling them or applying online via their website.

You will need to verify your identity and also where you live, as well as providing some personal details, such as where you work and your income and expenditure. We can provide a Confirmation of Employment letter once you have commenced your post which will serve as proof of address and confirm your post and salary information, if necessary.  Please contact your HR advisor or raise a ticket via the Helpdesk to request this https://employeehelpdesk.esneft.nhs.uk/portal/en-gb/home

The bank is likely to run a credit check to assist in their decision making process and you will be notified of the outcome.

If you would like to request an employment letter confirming you are employed with ESNEFT, please raise a ticket via the Helpdesk.
