Dear
Part Day Sickness entry for Name/Assignment commencing on Date
When
recording a sent home/part day sickness absence in the roster, Managers must
ensure that this entry is only for one day duration as these episodes do not feed through to
ESR to form part of the step process however are required for accuracy and audit
purposes in the roster.
If the member of
staff remains sick the following day a new episode of sickness must be added to
the roster with the reason for the absence recorded and be marked Open Ended until such
time as the member of staff reports fit for duty/returns to work.
We have adjusted the part day sickness entry to be of one day duration for the above named employee and opened a new sickness episode for the continued sickness with the reason currently recorded as 'Other'
ACTION REQUIRED BY MANAGER
Please can you update the sickness reason to the correct reason or let us know the reason and we will amend the record to reflect the correct information.
